MTV VMA Awards 2012

The MTV VMA Awards took place in LA on Thursday evening and with performances by Rihanna and One Direction it was of course set to be a spectacular evening. I of course had my eyes on what the artists wore to the event. Scroll down to see the pictures and a list of the winners of the night.

LWD Vs LBD
Some stars opted for white whilst others opted for a black dress/gown. Which do we prefer?

Rihanna showed off her new short hairstyle at the VMA's and opted for a chic white Adam Selman gown. Simple yet effective. 

The Saturday's opted for a selection of white gowns, minus Una who opted for a lime green dress. Whose look did we prefer?

If there is something I love at the moment it is wearing chic suits and Taylor Swift works this trend well in a J. Mendel suit!

Miley Cyrus opted for Pucci. 

Ke$ha apparently designed her LBD herself with the help of Ugo Zaldi. 

Katy Perry opted for a printed Elie Saab black gown and looked fab!

Demi Lovato worked this LBD and wore it with a leather jacket for her performance. 

Nicki Minaj opted for a black Versace bodysuit and Louboutin heels. Not a fan! 

Rita Ora opted for a Pucci jumpsuit.  

And the rest..... 

Alicia Keys opted for a silver Alexandre Vautheir gown. Not a fan of this. 

Pink opted for a figure hugging Stella McCartney gown. 

Emma Watson added a bit of colour to the red carpet in a Peter Pilotto dress. 

And the guys....

With performances by some of the biggest male artists and bands it would be insane not to check out the guys....fashion that is.... ;) 

I am a massive fan of Drake but I was not a fan of what he was wearing! What do you all think? 

Styling The Wanted would be fab! I have to say they looked dapper in their Tommy Hilfiger suits.

One Direction opted for their take on the suited look.  

Chris Brown looked dapper in a grey suit. 

Neo disappointed in this look, should have opted for a suit.
