Shanghai Adventures!

She Said Only:
Hey my lovely followers! Thank you for sticking around and waiting for me to return to the blogging world! Shanghai was so much fun with my mom and it being Chinese New Year was extra special! There were fireworks for days, (literally) lion dog dances, smiling faces and cold weather. Remember, I went in 2011 during Thanksgiving, but this was nice because we tried to sightsee in different areas of Shanghai we had not been to before. We went to the Shanghai museum and saw many great artifacts, paintings and jade pieces. This was free and you were able to take photos, which was interesting. Went on a 12 hour Suzhou tour one of the days. We saw a ton of different locations except there were no English interpreters so it was a little hard to follow, but we could definitely tell there was history. One place though that we did get to see during the tour was the Art and Design Technology Institute, specializing in the fabrication of silk. They had a mini runway show, the silk factories where it was being made daily, and a large area to purchase silk anything! We also went to visit where, on July 23, 1921, thirteen members held their first National Congress of the Communist Party of China, so much history to learn. The food was great, the shopping was fun and it went by way too fast! Below are some photos of our trip! Thank you for following on Instagram too, while I was there. * Picture overload
