Motel Rocks Press Day

I was invited to attend the Motel Rocks Press day yesterday and it was all about the 90s and boy am I glad I went. It made me feel very nostalgic.

I know it's 'trendy' to like the 90s but I actually do love the 90s. I grew up in the 90s and to me you just can't beat that decade; everything from the music to the TV shows and of course the fashion. I am telling you youth of today are missing out, what with their slick mobile phones, social media, 3D television, snazzy camera's etc etc. We didn't have any of that growing up and although I do love it all now I am really glad I didn't have it when I was a kid. I do know that thanks to the internet, YouTube and a revival of 90s trends, youth of today can kind of get what I am going on about but it's not the same really, is it.

The Press Event
Motel Rocks had thoroughly thought about everything when it came to this press event. From the 90s board games, to the posters of the Spice Girls, the teenage bedroom setup and of course the fab 90s hits that where playing in the background.

Loved the room set up!

It was all about the CD walkman and the Spice Girls album - love it!

Remember Dream Phone!!! I always wanted this but I never got one.

See what I mean about thought about, all the sweets that where popular back in the day Motel Rocks had on offer for bloggers to have!

Henna and Hair Dye.
Whilst looking through the Autumn '13 range you could get your hair colour sprayed by the lovely ladies at Colour Xtreme, get some temporary tattoos and get some henna designs done. Check out pictures below.

At school I went through a phase where I dyed my hair practically every colour. The only colour I never did try was blue, always wanted to have blue hair so I jumped at the chance to get my hair dip sprayed blue by the lovely ladies at Colour Xtreme. Check out the results above, matches my shirt....

Although I did get a design on my hand, I forgot to take a picture. I did take a picture of fellow blogger Tolu's, from Fashionate Me (check her blog out here), hand design. It was quite similar to mine.

The Goody Bag
We also got given a fab goodie bag, I have to say I loved the treats in my goody bag - thanks Motel Rocks! I love Palmers Cocoa Butter, I highly recommend you all try it, it's really good for your skin. Can't wait to try out the hair colour spray from Colour Xtreme as well as the face mask!

Autumn '13 range
The Autumn '13 range was very cool, I saw quite a few pieces that I would love to wear. The range features a range of different styles that will appeal to most girls; whether you like a laid back Indie style to party wear or bold prints. The collection takes inspiration from vintage one-offs and global street fashion which is prominent in the collection. I love printed fabrics and Motel Rocks always get their prints right. Check out some of the pictures I took of pieces that stood out to me.

Remember these bags!

Had to take a picture. I don't know about you guys but we called them 'sh*g bands' back in the day, but then I went to school up north so not sure whether it was only there? It still makes me laugh a bit thinking about the meaning, what each colour represented and snapping them - kids hey ;)

I love these leggings, although I don't wear full on colour I do like my printed leggings, you can pair them with loads of different pieces.

Another piece I love. I know it's swimwear but you can so pair this with some shorts and throw a sheer unbuttoned shirt over it. Perfect for the summer!

Another print I loved!

I loved the Motel Rocks Vintage line too!

So Stylista's what do you think of the Motel Rocks collection? Did any of you go down to the event too? Leave your comments below.
