Day 3 of London Fashion Week took place today and it saw designers such Mulberry, Richard Nicoll, Fashion East, Nicole Farhi, Marios Schwab, Matthew Williamson and Topshop Unique show their creations to the fashion pack.
Mulberry - Mulberry's collection was inspired by a seventies holiday to Blackpool beach. There was a selection of pleated skirts, rain macs and sundresses. The palette was full of pastel shades of yellows mints and pinks, as well as plenty of neutral tones and blacks. A quirky vibe was seen in the collection with the addition of fun animal prints. Celebrity wise the Mulberry show attracted Hollywood star Kristen Stewart and model Kate Moss.
Richard Nicoll - S/S 12 has a fresh feeling to it over at Richard Nicoll whose collection saw an array of tunic dresses, PVC layers, sheer black dresses as well as bleached pyjama suits. The colour palette for S/S 12 is all about blues, whites and blacks adding a modern yet edgy vibe to summer. There was also a hint of floral prints and ruffles adding to the mix.
Topshop Unique - There was certainly an Egyptian/ Aztec vibe to this awaited collection. With Art Deco inspired prints and plenty of gold on show this collection certainly knew where it was going. The Elizabeth Taylor print was a pleasant surprise and will please all fans of the late actress. Fashion's elite Anna Wintour watched on from the front row, as did Olivia Palermo, Naomi Campbell, Nicola Roberts, Ellie Goulding and Pixie Geldoff.
