The New Neutral

Yay for Friday!  It's been a hectic week so I'm ending it with something comfy and casual.  I actually wore this last week, but I've been saving it for today to post :)

Cardigan: C/O Charlotte Russe (similar)/ Boyfriend Jeans: H&M (also love)
Tank: H&M/ Shoes: Love Culture (similar)/ Bag: Phillip Lim For Target

Most people associate Jersey girls with leopard print but I've never really worn it that much.  I have to admit though that I am liking it more and more.  I have another leopard print top coming to the blog next week and just recently got my first pair of leopard print shoes.  I think what's so great about it is that it basically acts a neutral leaving room for many styling options.  As much as I love pops of color and color blocking, there are times when I just want to be a little more low key and subtle.  A great way to do this is by sticking with neutral tones.  This cardigan is super soft and comfy, just like my boyfriend jeans!

One of my good friends, Maria, just started working with Origami Owl.  You can customize your own lockets and there are so many pieces to choose from. From the chain, to the charms, it's all personalized for you. She had this one made for me and I absolutely love it because it really describes me!  The photo does not do it justice.  It says "inspire" with 4 charms: a laptop with @ symbol to represent blogging & social media, a camera for the photos I take and because I love photography, a music note to represent my love for singing, and a heart because I obviously love all these things.  It also has my birthstone, topaz, hanging on the side.  These necklaces are truly one of a kind.  Make sure to check out Origami Owl whenever you get the chance. You can check out the facebook page here or send an email to charmylocket@gmail.com

On another note, getting this Phillip Lim for Target mini satchel was pure luck!  The retail stores by my house are closed on Sundays so I knew that Monday morning it would be complete madness.  My mom was down the shore over the weekend so I called her to ask if she could check out the Target down there just to see if by chance there were any left.  She ended up going at around 4 in the afternoon and headed straight for the handbag section because she didn't realize Phillip Lim's pieces would be in their own area.  She found this bag right away mixed in with all the other handbags and it was the last one!  It was literally waiting there for me.  These bags sold out in like 15 minutes at some Targets.  I've always loved his bags and realistically cannot afford them, so I am definitely happy with this super affordable mini version :)

Enjoy your weekend!
XO
